OPERATION'S AIMS

keeping in account:

• that the profession of the accountant (both graduate in Economics and certified public accountant) evolved in the 1980s setting particular attention to the fiscal problems whose continuous and chaotic legislation has absorbed at least 90% of the professional competences of those exercising this profession.

• that the evolution of the year 2000 will bring about the creation of bodies organized as enterprises on the initiative of the main unions and non, that will absorb a remarkable slice of the fiscal fulfilments to which the physical people and small enterprises with inferior earnings to 10 MLDs are called upon.
• that in Italy, the qualification of accountant is, in the common meaning, for fiscal advisor because the greatest part of the professional category devoted itself to such activity. At the same time it is discovering itself unprepared to face the firm's problems set by the entrepreneurs and, particularly regarding the interest of the enterprises to operate in a more vast and complex market as it is represented by united Europe.

• Considering

• that in Europe the economic and judicial professions are primarily practiced through associated firm of notable dimension;

• that in our Country the professional co-operation does not spread because of the individualistic peculiarity of those exercising non-subordinate profession;

• that in relationship to their European colleagues the Italian accountants risk soccumbing to the corporate structures, lack of corporate specializations and lack of entrepreneurial mentality in the management of their firms;

• that the entrepreneurs need to be placed side by side with company economists able to advise them about the economic strategies and growth is prospects of enterprises, about the analysis of the profitability of the same, about the individualization of the possible sinergies in the European context, and to direct them in case of need towards European colleagues of experience with which they correspond;

• that while the fiscal advisor represents a cost for the enterprise, made necessary by the muddled Italian fiscal system, together with the the taxes that burden the same, the company economist supports the entrepreneur in his/her own firm's choices with his/her own qualified consultation and in this function represents an investment for the development of the enterprise;

• that it is made necessary to assure the entrepreneurs in order to the qualified professionalism of the company to whitch they turn;

For the above, through an initiative sponsored by the European Parliament, April 15^th 1999 the EUROPEAN ECONOMIST ASSOCIATION, headquartered in Florence, Via Pontassieve no 6, is constituted, through public act stipulated in Rome at the site of the European Parliament, Via IV Novembre no 149, Rome, , to the purpose of:

To improve and to maintain in time the professional preparation of its own members, through the exchange of common experiences in order to make them become a patrimony at the disposal of all the members.

 

To standardize the efficiency of the adherent firms through an entrepreneurial organization and through a qualification of specific procedures.

 

To create a mark of quality at a European level, to which the members can confer upon, being a passport for community relationships among similar professional categories as well as institutions and entrepreneurial categories.

 

To define imperative principles of behavior which constitute a real guarantee, for third party, of the morality, honesty and professional preparation of the association's members.

 

To promote initiatives, through the use of the most modern techniques of communication, for the diffusion in Europe of the associative principles as well as the conclusion of agreements for professional interchange with similar bodies and great associated firms.

Characteristics of the members:

Professional firms, single or associated, with propensity to operate in the field of the business economy and the company law.

 

With imperative knowledge of English and however the committment to learn it.

 

Trained or authorized in exercising free profession in relationship with the laws and rules in force of the State of affiliation.

 

Of absolute moral and professional integrity.

 

Available to the disclosure of his/her own knowledges and experiences within the association.

 

Available to the assumption of operational assigments in the associative structure.

 

Available to undergo a test of his professional preparation acting by the association's bodies.
